Teaching Philosophy

Cherry is a native of Hong Kong and has moved to United States a decade ago. Teaching students of all ages, including adults, is a true passion of her. She understands parent and bonding for the student.

I work with my students to develop personalized plans that help them achieve their musical goals, whether they are a beginner or an advanced player.

I believe that music should be enjoyable and fun, while also providing a solid foundation of skills and technique.

Ultimately, my goal as a piano teacher is to inspire and encourage my students to become lifelong learners and lovers of music. It includes reading music, ear training, technique, and theory. With the combination of traditional and new approach for teaching. First one is “Sight-Reading” and the other one is “Play by Ear”. You can play both classical and your favorite pop music at the same time!
